Our Stylist Aprons are made of two pieces:(front and back)

APRON FRONT: Spun Polyester- polyester is pretty much indestructible, and spun polyester is silky smooth! About the same feel as a high-quality salon cape.

APRON BACK: Polyester lining-similar to a silky hair cutting cape/ salon cape type fabric or a lining fabric that you would find inside a nice pantsuit or winter jacket.

WATERPROOF and STAIN RESISTANT Hair color comes right out with a little soap, warm water and small brush.

    When will my item(s) be shipped? Razor Sharp Image takes pride in shipping NO LONGER THAN the third business day after your order is placed. Most of the time, orders are shipped next day.

    What are the sizes of the stylist aprons and do you think it will fit me?
  • Honestly, there have been women from a size 0 to a size 22 buy the aprons and look good in them.
  • Because of the way they are cut, they are wider across the top, and don't slide side to side like other aprons. They are 30" wide- which is almost three feet, or a yard. The apron will definitely fit you.
  • A plus size option is avaliable. This adds width to the sides of the apron for ladies who like to have their backsides covered.

    Do they tie or snap?
  • The ribbons on the aprons tie at neck and at waist. This way, the apron is fully customizeable to your size and height. The ties are long enough to cris cross if that's what you like.
  • The vests and capes both have snap closures.

    How do I care for my stylist apron ?
  • Spot cleaning is best for the life of the apron.
  • If you need to wash it in the washing machine, use the gentle cycle, (as you would with client drapes).
  • Wiping clean within 45 mins of color or bleach coming in contact with the apron is recommended.
  • Washing and drying with salon towels is not recommended.

    How long will the waterproofing last?
  • After about 25 washes in the washing machine, the waterproofer will begin to break down. This is one reason that spot cleaning is recommended. You will want to apply a waterproofing/stain repellant to the apron once a year or so, depending on how many times you put it in the washing machine.

    What makes these aprons special?

    Razor Sharp Image is a company that was created by a hair stylist for hair stylists. After 13 years as a stylist, I got tired of looking at the same black apron and cape in the mirror. I didn't like getting hair and color on my clothes, and the aprons never fit in a flattering way. The jackets reminded me of being in beauty school and to me, just didn't look cute. The vests were also too big and bulky. What's the point in trying to look like a professional when I had to cover up?? I looked and looked for cute and trendy stylist aprons and designer salon capes without much luck.

    A hair stylist that I worked with suggested that I make one, and so I did! When I wore it to work the next day, the girls in my salon all wanted one!! After that, I began to make small batches of the hairstyilst aprons and went to all the hair salons around my town showing them to the stylists. It was very exciting to see stylists squealing over them and loving the cute stylist aprons as much as I do!

    The first ones I made had no pockets at all and were not waterproof stylist aprons, and there were a few that I had to remake because the ribbons kept popping off. It was a fun and interesting process to learn what stylists really wanted and needed in a salon apron and to solve those problems by offering a pocket, waterproofing and triple reinforcement on inside to keep the ribbon from popping off.

    Once I worked out the flaws, I began offering the stylist aprons on Ebay and on this website. I became a vendor at the Bronner Brothers International Hairshow and also did the Premiere Birmingham Show, and am having a blast! I had so many people ask for capes, that I began offering capes about six months ago.

    So now, I am proud to be the first in offering waterproof, stain resistant stylist apron and salon client capes in bold colors and patterns that are a unique, fun, flirty, creative alternative to a solid black stylist apron.

    These stylist aprons are designed to fulfill suggestions made to me by hairstylists, and are everything I personally always wanted in a salon apron . They are

    The ribbon ties on each stylist apron makes them completely adjustable to the length of your torso and your waist size. Razor Sharp Image Salon Aprons fit hair stylists of all shapes and sizes, and are flattering to the figure. We offer custom order plus-size aprons, and have outfitted clients ranging from size 0 to 2x.

    The pocket on the stylist aprons tilted to the side to prevent hair from falling directly into the pocket, and for easily accessing clips and tools that a hair stylist may need while servicing her clients. Pockets are on the right side of the stylist apron, but lefties can special order a pocket on the left side.

    The salon client capes are the industry standard client cape with a stripe down the front center that matches each stylist apron pattern, and have a snap closure.
